The first time I saw Pescara I took the not very long bus trip from Francavilla al Mare and wandered around the city on foot. It was a Sunday, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and the beach looked beautiful. Pescara seemed quiet, almost empty, lacking in activity and the buzz that goes [...] Strictly speaking it didn’t begin in Abruzzo at all. And, being perfectly honest, I didn’t start the ball rolling. I have to give credit to P who did the research and got us to Abruzzo in the first place. We weren’t typical holiday makers as we were hoping to explore the region and see if [...] I’ve updated the About Abruzzo Transport page to include more bus and ferry details. The main change relating to buses is the inclusion of a section on buses to and from Rome. Some of these are operated by private companies e.g. Prontobus (thanks CKC) and Rosato.
