I’m not going to write too long a post on The American. I had heard it wasn’t a great movie but that usually doesn’t stop me looking at something I’m interested in and making my own mind up. Having seen it I have to say that those who were disappointed in the result of the [...] Back in February I wrote a post about movies that were filmed in Abruzzo. Among the movies listed were the following: The Name Of The Rose Ladyhawke My Name Is Trinity Trinity Is Still My Name Pane e Tulipani Apart from these I mentioned The American (2010) starring George Clooney which is still to be released and Fontamara (1977). [...] One of the first things I learned about Campo Imperatore, L’Aquila was that it was the location for many movies. Later, when I said to a friend of mine from Abruzzo that I was heading off to visit Rocca Calascio I was told that Ladyhawke was filmed there. I didn’t swoon at the thought of [...] |
