You are absolutely right Sammy, well found. The movie Le renard et l'enfant / The fox and the child/ La volpe e la bambina does not appear on my IMDB search because IMDB only credits Italy, but not Abruzzo. Looking at its official site it looks visually spectacular. It definitely is worth looking out for. This is what IMDB has to say about it.

There is also the sad but beautiful film The Fox & The Child by Luc Jacquet who directed March of the Penguins, shot half in Abruzzo & in Ain.
